my approach

my approach

The concept began as a simple idea inspired by the Mad Max: Furiosa title animation. But rather than featuring skulls on a vehicle engine, I reimagined the visuals with a combination of knives and skulls to create a distinct and gritty aesthetic.

I combined custom 3D modelling with tastefully selected assets from free model libraries to build out the scene.

To achieve the cinematic look I was aiming for, I used a key light paired with a few fill lights to shape the scene.
I then introduced warm orange highlights to add contrast and depth, along with a cloudy gradient in the background that gave the composition atmosphere and character.

The animation relied heavily on dynamic camera movements, as well as cloning effects, and was carefully composed to maintain visual interest while leaving enough space for credit placement.

To complete the visual style, I applied depth of field blur, glow, and other finishing effects to polish the final render.

Finally, to give the full cinematic experience, I sourced music and sound effects that matched the tone and pacing of the sequence, then carefully edited and mixed them to enhance the overall impact.
